Srushti Deshmukh began working on her UPSC exam in her third year of engineering degree. When she graduated she was unsure if she could be happy working in an engineering position. Her goal became apparent after she began focusing on the civil service. Her parents urged her to concentrate on civil rights and get a job serving the public. Her motivation was never lost and she concentrated on becoming an IAS Officer. In order to be a candidate for UPSC, you have to put in more work. She also prepared for UPSC exams while doing her engineering studies. Every day, she set aside time to prepare for the exam. She was able to pass the exams for engineers in less than 1 1/2 months, and stayed away from social media and social media platforms altogether. The focus she believes is crucial to be able to pass the test for government jobs and work in civil service. She put in great effort to pass the test in the first try. Daily, she would read the newspaper to keep abreast on the current news. Rajya Sabha TV, online sources and various study tools were of great assistance to her.
